Testimony from Pakistan

My name is Sonia. I am a mother of four children, two sons and two daughters. Three of them are studying in St Jeanne Antide Bible High School. I was a member of the Group of the Friends of St Jeanne Antide before my marriage. Then I stopped coming to the Group for some time. Now I am shifted to Shahdara again so I joined the Group again. Now my husband and I are part of the Group.

I was always impressed by the life of St Jeanne Antide. Her firm faith in God alone and her attentivness towards others.

Frist time when I came to attend the meeting, the gospel was read according to St Matthew 18:18-20, which says “where two or three are gether in my name, there I am with them”. I was really impresed by the passage of the gospel. I felt that Jesus was really among us. I really feel a strong sense of friendship among the Group.

The thing I like the most in the roup is that whatever we speak in the Group, it remain secret as there are secrets between the true friends. I feel free to share my joys and suferings openly with out any hesitation and whenever I find my self in a difficult situation, friends are always ready to help me. I feel a true bond of friendship among us.

Many times when I see somebody suffering in my neighbourhood and if I am unable to help the person I speak in the group and we all support each other at once to help the needy.

At the same time I always remembe the gospel of St John where he says.

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
John 15:15

Since Jesus himself has called us friends, we should alwasys continue to promote this value through our lives.

Sonia
