Buenos Aires: “As Sisters of Charity of the Province of Latin America, we held our Provincial Conference from January 31 to February 4 2024 at the Holy House of Spiritual Exercises Sister Maria Antonia de la Paz y Figueroa, known as –Mama Antula-.
Slogan of the Conference: “With the solicitude of Martha and the listening of Mary, we take care of the future”. We seek to live a formative space of sharing and information celebrating the joy of belonging.
The Servant Sisters from the communities of the Province participated together with the Provincial Council.
We reflected on our program for the five-year period and the progress of the different committees during this first year, we also worked on the communities we dream about and how to animate them, we studied in depth the documents of Jeanne Antide and the Rule of Life in relation to the Sister Servant, as well as “Jeanne Antide and the Economy”. We verified our provincial economic reality and shared various experiences of service and pastoral work of some communities.
It was a shared family space in which we were grateful for the closeness of Mother María Rosa with her Circular Letter and in it the closeness of the whole Congregation.
We celebrated the closing Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján and the Fidelity of God manifested in the fifty years of religious life of our sister Marina Bottiani; and we entrusted the journey of our province to Blessed Cardinal Eduardo Pironio in a simple but heartfelt celebration at the foot of his tomb”.
