In Sucre, the university students of the women’s college Residencia Santa Maria and the sisters’ community had to solve the proposal for the Season of Creation 2024 in an alternative way: there is no place in the house to plant a tree.
But because “breathing clean air is something we are all interested in”, the Sisters and students creatively organised an awareness-raising day: they went together to the central square in Sucre. And with pamphlets in hand, they approached passers-by, sharing knowledge and enriching each other.
Raising awareness through personal encounters with people was aimed at reaching as many people as possible. And Sucre’s central square proved to be an excellent opportunity.
