From 18 to 25 January 2025 this appointment is renewed, in a year that is particularly significant: 2025 marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, which unified the Christian Creed.
At this ecumenical international prayer initiative, all Christian denominations are summoned to pray for the attainment of the full unity that is Christ’s own will.
During the Council of Nicaea, the Church Fathers, such as St Athanasius, defended the Trinitarian faith in awareness of the drama of the divisions of the early Church.
In all dioceses and religious communities, during this week, activities and prayer initiatives for ecumenism, dialogue and peace are planned, as well as moments of sharing with the sisters and brothers of other religious denominations present in the territory.
The invitation addressed to Christian communities is to rediscover their faith by meeting each other.
