I have been teaching at the Santa Giovanna Antida Primary School in Vercelli for 41 years now and I find myself reflecting on a journey that has been not only a job, but a true vocation.

During this long journey, which began when I first saw myself as a pupil at the middle school of the Santa Margherita monastery and then continued when I became a teacher, I had the privilege of meeting many pupils and colleagues, each of whom left an indelible mark on my heart.

I remember my first days of teaching, when the classrooms were full of enthusiasm and curiosity.

The Sisters of Charity have always been an example of dedication and passion for education.

They have been able to create a peaceful and stimulating environment, where each teacher has always been encouraged to express their potential and develop innovative methods, placing the student at the center and making learning a lively and engaging experience.

The relationship with my pupils has always been at the center of my work.

I have learned that teaching is not just about transmitting knowledge, but also about building bonds of trust and affection.

Every smile, every word of encouragement, every gesture of affection from my pupils has filled me with joy.

Even when the children grow up and go their own way, the bond that has been created remains as something special.

Receiving news from former pupils, seeing their successes and knowing that a part of me has remained with them, is one of the greatest satisfactions a teacher could wish for.

Santa Giovanna Antida School is a place where the charisma of the Sisters of Charity is evident in every activity, in every event that we have organized over the years.

The parties, the plays, the sports days, the religious celebrations have united us like a big family.

Each event was a piece of the mosaic that we patiently built together, a mosaic made up of shared experiences and unforgettable moments.

My story is an example of how the love of teaching and dedication to young people can transform not only the lives of students, but also our own.

Every day in the classroom is an opportunity to learn, grow and inspire.

I have a wealth of memories and lessons with me that I will continue to share over time.
