Every year, on the 4th Sunday of Easter, we celebrate the Good Shepherd! The Good Shepherd who guides his Church and sustains it! This Sunday we pray for vocations: we pray for priests, religious, missionaries, and for all Christian families who follow Jesus the Good Shepherd.
This day of prayer for vocations was first celebrated in France in 1959 and suggested to Pope Paul VI to establish a World Day of Prayer for Vocations.
Our sisters in Vietnam, in order to highlight the importance of this day of prayer, organised two days on 17 and 18 April with the aspirants and postulants under the theme Listening, discerning and living the call of the Lord.
Here are a few photos which show the joy of reflecting and praying for a choice of freedom in following Jesus the Good Shepherd!
