Argentina: 50 years of presence in Ezpeleta

“THE LORD HAS BEEN WONDERFUL TO US AND WE ARE HAPPY”.

These words from Psalm 125 express what was experienced on 8 May 2022 by the community of Ezpeleta, (Buenos Aires, Argentina) which was celebrating its 50 years of presence. This is how the Sisters of Charity of Saint Joan Antida Thouret began to write their history in this community and to manifest their charism in the midst of their brothers.

Since then, 50 years have passed, dedicated to the arduous and beautiful task of showing the face of Jesus to the poorest, the sick and the needy, giving life to the first parish in Latin American lands whose patron saint is Saint Juana Antida and today the Provincial House of Latin America.

Two videos show what was experienced: one is the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Monsignor Carlos Tisera, Bishop of Quilmes, accompanied by several priests. The other video is a brief recollection, interspersed with some of the faces of the many sisters who have passed through this community, some of whom are already enjoying eternity today.
