At the St Anne’s Institute, a beautiful day of eco-spirituality was lived together by 20 catechists and the 6 sisters who make up the community, in the park of the house, on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt, on 12 November 2023, from 8.30 am to 3 pm.
The day was divided into 3 essential times, a spiritual time, a cultural time and an ecological time.
After the sport that awakened our bodies, came the Mass to awaken our faith. Photographic language from recent newspapers helped bring to light everything that inhabits our psyche in activism.
The Jesuit priest who accompanied us helped us to reflect on the Gospel of the Day of the Wise Virgins (Mt 25:1-13) followed by an hour of meditation in which we were able to approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation to which we all came with a thirst to return to ourselves.
Then an organic lunch that each of us prepared at home and shared in agape among ourselves. At the end the balance of the day, joy and peace.
