The “junior holidays” are organised in the parish of Ngaoundal every year. It’s a time for children and young people to recharge their batteries and relax during the school holidays. It lasts six weeks.
This year’s theme was “Let’s act with love for a fraternal life”.
Given the diversity of ages, these young people are divided into three levels. Level I is nursery school, level II is primary school and level three is secondary school. Depending on their level, these children learn to grow up in society as responsible citizens.
In general, their programme includes catechism, drawing, arts and crafts, cooking, games, dancing, mother tongue and life skills for the children. In addition, the children learn to farm.
Sister Claudine B. was one of the organisers of these junior holidays and several sisters took part in various activities.
