On Monday 9 September 2024, the EcoCharityGarden team welcomed its first volunteers in a meeting dedicated to the presentation of the project, which will be fully realised during the Jubilee 2025, within the mission of the Church of Rome.
The project offers visitors the chance to live an ecological and spiritual experience in the beauty of the General House’s park.
The meeting, which started from the principles of the Encyclical Laudato Si’, aimed to present the eco-spiritual mission, the planned activities and the organisation of the team to the volunteers.
The meeting, which was attended by many people, offered the opportunity to become an eco-spiritual volunteer, putting one’s passion for creation into practice by accompanying groups of visitors in the footsteps of the Encyclical Laudato si’.
This experience will also allow volunteers to collaborate with the International Laboratory of Integral Ecology of the Sisters of Charity, with the Social Pastoral Office of the Diocese of Rome and with the Laudato Si’ Movement.
The meeting held on 9 September was the first in a series of meetings aimed at training volunteers and accepting new membership proposals.
