On January 21, 2023, the International Workshop for the Educational Scope was launched, with the aim of
build together a new educational alliance
in an international, intercultural and interreligious context.
Representatives from the various territorial realities of the congregation participated: Central Africa, Latin America, North America, Besançon-Savoie, Euro-Mediterranean, East and Pakistan
The work of the Workshops was led by General Councilor Sister Wandamaria Clerici, with Sister Mirna Farah and Sister Teresa Tonna.
The Sisters of Charity feel strongly challenged by the Global Educational Covenant launched by Pope Francis on Oct. 5, 2021 at the World Meeting of Representatives of Religions at the Vatican, who came to dialogue on the topic of education.
The discussion had been focused on three important dimensions of education in the horizon of the Global Compact on Education:
- placing the person at the center of every educational process
- investing the best energies in quality education for all
- training people willing to put themselves at the service of the community
