Educating with confidence in the age of artificial intelligence: from 12 to 14 November 2024, nearly sixty people gathered in Sancey for their annual session. As in previous years, the heads of the schools, accompanied by their pastoral animators, some of their deputies and a few OGEC presidents, gathered around the Board of Trustees for this key event of the year.

A key moment in the life of the network, the two days were marked by training, reflection, prayer, sharing and conviviality.

The theme, ‘Continuing to educate and train with confidence in the age of artificial intelligence’, enabled participants to familiarise themselves with how artificial intelligence works, while at the same time taking a philosophical approach to understanding our place in relation to the use of this tool by helping teams to understand its benefits and limitations. This was followed by work on trust in different relationships, enabling us to reflect on our expectations and our desire to develop our own identity and form a network.

The results of this session were a sense of belonging to a network that is constantly expanding to the dimensions of the Congregation, which manages schools in 24 countries around the world, a desire to update our charism, and the joy of getting together.

This session is a time to strengthen our sense of belonging and knowledge of the charism. It’s a time to recharge our batteries, so that everyone can leave with a sense of belonging and of working within a dynamic that makes sense.
