“What you are is the God’s gift to you, what your become is your gift to God.”
To motivate the youth to deepen their faith in Christ, to involve them in the church activity, to inspire them through charity the need to care others, we Sisters of Charity in Bangalore accompany the youth in collaboration with the church.
In every parish, the sister responsible of the parish ministry is the in-charge of the parish youth too. To help the youth to attain a good future with caring mentality, Sisters arrange different class and different program like visiting the orphanage, elderly home, and sick.

Service at the Shalom Home for the elderly
As we start the Lenten season, each parish with their youth has arranged different programs like pilgrimage and charity activity. As a first stage, some of our youth went to visit the Shalom Home for elderly, in Bangalore District of Tamilnadu There the youth did some cultural programme and games to make the elderly happy and enthusiastic.
Vocational ministry
To motivate the youth for the religious life, a group of sisters used to go to visit the different parishes to meet the young girls. There we used to spent some time with them to know them and to witness the love of God who called us. Through action songs and small stories, we try to inspire them and share with them our charism and life of foundress St. Jeanne Antide Thouret.
We make them to understand that every vocation is a gift from God and the vocation to consecrated life is our response to follow His footsteps closely. As the youth are from different places we maintain the contact with them through telephone calls. At present there are around 10 girls in this group.
Our youth believe that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me “.
