Father Joshtrom Kureethadam gave valuable time and quality training on Saturday 25 November 2023 at the International Laboratory of Integral Ecology (LIEI).
Thank you Father Joshtrom for taking us to contemplate the wonder of the Universe through the lens of the recently launched James Webb telescope: to perceive that our planet Earth is in the ideal place in the galaxy that allows for human life, to understand that human beings have only existed since the last 1% of creation time, and for the call to take the right steps in being custodians and stewards of what has been created.
Thank you for sharing with us the URGENCY of concern for the care of our Common Home. Over the past 200 years, human activity has sent carbon gas into the atmosphere that produces the greenhouse effect and puts the planet on the brink of collapse.
It is sad to realise that 50 per cent of humanity is below the poverty line and that, although they are responsible for only 8 per cent of emissions, they are the ones who suffer the most from the consequences of weather disasters and that, in addition, the climate crisis is the main cause of human mobility, leaving millions of brothers and sisters homeless, landless, jobless and without belonging.
Thank you for confirming us in the Mission of rebuilding our Common Home together. We feel called to personal and community ecological conversion through small habits that become attitudes and attitudes that become virtues.
Daughters of the Church, with Saint Jeanne Antide, we want to be part of that multitude of people who are realising that our world is in urgent need of virtuous people who, responding to the call of Pope Francis, will take advantage of the next 7 years to save the planet from a point of no return.
