At the Saint Hanna Institute in Beirut, a plenary of the teaching staff of the schools and institutes of the Sisters of Charity in Lebanon took place, entitled:
“Taking care of life, self, others, environment, country”
Various workshops contributed to deepening the spiritual and relational, national and environmental aspects.
“If we want a more fraternal world,” Pope Francis reminds us, “it is necessary to educate the new generations to recognise, appreciate and love each person beyond their physical proximity, beyond the place in the world where they were born or where they live.
To the principle of “know thyself” that has always oriented education, for the Pope it is necessary to add other essential ones: “know your brother”, to educate to welcome the other, “know creation”, to educate to care for the common home and “know the Transcendent”, to educate to the great mystery of life.
