In Rome, ten days, at a structure of the Centro Astalli (Jesuit Refugee Service).
Accompanied by sister Ramona and sister Melissa, the young people will make themselves available to the guests of the Pedro Arrupe Centre – one of the Astalli reception facilities in Rome – coordinated by sister Paola A.
The Pedro Arrupe welcomes refugee families from various parts of the world, unaccompanied foreign minors, single women with children in vulnerable situations.
The young volunteers in recent months have participated in preparatory meetings organised by Sister Melissa and Sister Ramona, so that it will be an experience of the Gospel lived together with the guests welcomed at Pedro Arrupe, adults and children.
To raise awareness among other young people and families, the departing group organised fun initiatives: a tombola evening and a bake sale, also useful as self-financing.
They will be on duty at Pedro Arrupe from 24 July to 4 August 2023.
