International Vocational Youth Ministry Workshop: the Catholic Church lives the month of October dedicated throughout the world to awakening the Missionary Spirit in the faithful, through the prayer of the Rosary. For this reason, we met with university colleges and ‘foyers’ for young students at the congregational level, via zoom.
On Saturday, 19 October 2024, we prayed the Holy Missionary Rosary for the missionaries who give their lives taking the Word of God to the ends of the earth, and we also pray for unity and Peace in the world.
Participants:
o Italy: Urbino, Rome, Milan
o Albania: Tirana, Elbasan
o Romania: Timsoara, Bucharest
o Indonesia.
o Bolivia – Sucre
Each decade of the Rosary was recited in its own language, thus giving a touch of universality, with the participation of all the prisoners and the nuns accompanying them. Creating a fraternal atmosphere of unity under the same charism of the Sisters of Charity, the young girls showed much enthusiasm and creativity.
Some of the feelings of our girls at the end of the prayer: ‘We felt happy, proud to have been welcomed into the “home” of the Sisters of Charity, feeling part of the international community. I would never have imagined being able to pray together with young people from other countries, even if they did not understand the language. Yet, you can pray together from all over the world. I look forward to many more initiatives together’.
