It is opened by the Sisters of Charity of the parish of Sant’Agostino and Santa Barnaba, in Modena, offering concrete help and a smile to those who need it most.

“The door of bread, solidarity and hope” has been opening for years, every day, from Monday to Saturday, from 9 to 9.30 a.m.: every day there are more than 50 people who turn to the parish, sometimes even 70, especially on Saturdays.

The service is possible thanks to the tireless work of more than 40 volunteers, who every day, from the evening before, collect, bag and distribute around 60-70 kg of bread, fresh pasta, pizza, sweets, fruit, vegetables, milk, donated by 13-14 bakeries, pastry shops, supermarkets and pizzerias.

To get this really concrete help, just show up in front of the parish entrance in the morning.

and grant to those who eat it with faith
to obtain, through the intercession of Our Lady of the Bread
to always be strengthened for a frugal and simple life
and to open our hearts to the poor.
