This year, the feast in honour of the Saint Patron of Nurses of Italy began with a Eucharistic celebration in memory of the Saint of the Sabina mountains, respectively
- on 5 September at 6 p.m. in Pietraforte
- on 6 September at the same time in Montorio
- and finally on 7 September in Pozzaglia, at 6 pm.
That same evening, an evocative torchlight procession wound its way through the narrow mountain streets from the parish to the house where Saint Agostina was born.
On Sunday, 8 September, the day began with a concert by the Artem Gospel Choir, a choral ensemble that aims to highlight the Afro-American musical tradition, spirituals and gospels.
This was followed by a solemn concelebration in the square of Pozzaglia at 11.15 a.m., presided over by H.E. Msgr. Mauro Parmeggiani, bishop of Tivoli-Palestrina.
Many were present, including many Sisters of Charity, also from outside the region, who then took part in the procession through the streets of the town with the participation of the town band.
From Saint Agostina comes a message of inner peace, forgiveness and self-forgetfulness that have their source in God.
