During the Stations of the Cross, we retrace Christ’s steps by enacting the biblical record of his Passion, with each station commemorating a stage in Christ’s journey to crucifixion.
Friday 31 March 2023, in the garden of the General House, the Way of the Cross promoted by the Circolo Laudato Sii of Trastevere puts the suffering of Christ’s Passion in our time by relating it to the suffering of the earth and the poor.
Lord, help us to recognize that we are our sisters’ and brothers’ keepers, and like Simon of Cyrene, help us to alleviate the suffering of those crushed by injustice, poverty, and violence. Amen.
