At the “All Saint” kindergarten in Rajaf (Jouba), the sisters and teachers have devised a project to “make our big garden clean and useful”: the children will clean it for a month.
Then their parents, with the help of sister Grace, will transform the barren garden into a vegetable garden that they will plant and harvest for their families.
We thank God for these signs of hope.
The experience has involved and will involve the children from planting to watering, from caring for the plants to harvesting.
To make a vegetable garden is to become part of the eternal cycle of the seasons; it is an active learning and life experience; it is an act of love towards oneself and towards creation; it is an act of gratitude towards God.
