From Khabab, young catechists and scout leaders have two summer camps. From Khabab, in southern Syria, two groups of children went to the seaside to camp in Cafar Sita in Tartous, 350 km away. Each group consisted of 100 people, 20 of whom were the young catechist leaders and scout leaders.
These children had never been out of their villages because they were born during the war. They were overjoyed to have this experience. The young people were also happy to have an experience of service, dedication and sacrifice. It was a beautiful combination of spiritual, games and swimming.
We thank the Lord for allowing us to live this experience in joy and fullness. Our theme: ‘Be positive’ accompanied us throughout the camp.
