The community of Nag Hammadi with the children of the “Holy Family” orphanage in Tahta: a Laudato si Day spent in Mary’s garden, community of Nag Hammadi
As we do every year, we invited the children from the “Holy Family” orphanage in Tahta, together with their supervisor sister Caroline and the children from the parish of N.H.
The day’s programme focused on the beauty of Creation…
God only made beautiful things… good things… The biblical text of Genesis shows us:
God created only the beautiful… the good…
And Man has destroyed nature… and Creation groans…
We watched a short film, which was explained and then discussed in small groups. Scenes, songs, dances and a big game illustrated the rest of our programme. At the end of the day, everyone left with different seeds planted in a small pot: Basil, Bonjour, Wachintogna حبّ العزيز)), Lwanga…
What was remarkable was that we made sure to use real cutlery: plates, glasses, forks… eliminating cardboard, plastic and foam… this to safeguard nature and our Mother the Earth. We ended the day with a prayer of thanksgiving to the Master of Creation.
