‘Piccola Casa’ does not actually correspond to the architectural reality. It is, in fact, a rather large building, not far from the St Ambrose Basilica in Milan. ‘The “Piccola Casa” corresponds more to the family atmosphere that the community of the Sisters of Charity tries to offer to the students of the university hostel, to the elderly ladies of the hospitality house, and to the relatives of patients in Milan hospitals who are forced to make demanding “medical trips” from various parts of Italy.
Every year, the month of May offers the opportunity to gather around the Mother of All for the celebration of the Rosary or other Marian devotions.
This year, the Little House of St Joseph also wished to pray with particular intensity for vocations: may Our Lady watch over all her children, but in a special way over those whom Jesus wants to choose as ‘his’. Mary, accompany and support these your children on their journey so that they may remain faithful to the gift received and be totally dedicated to the service of the Church and their brothers and sisters. Accept, O Mother, our petition and grant that we too, through prayer, sacrifice and the witness of our lives, may collaborate in the inestimable grace of the divine call. Amen.
