Sister Tina, together with the youth from Albania, shares her experience in Portugal. What she tells us most warmly is certainly the joy perceived during these days, a constant of the whole WYD 2023 experience.

“We left Albania on Thursday evening, August 3, precisely at 8:30 pm. We arrived in Lisbon around midnight. We were hosted by the Dominican sisters as a group from the Archdiocese of Tirane-Durres. Our group consisted of 49 people, including young people and priests.
We were able to participate in a beautiful and very heartfelt Stations of the Cross… an immense silence made everyone feel involved in the life of Jesus who still carries the Cross in the places and events of our existence.
There is so much joy in the hearts of the young people, and it can be felt in their every look. The joy also shines through in the way we greet each other and smile, as if we had known each other forever.
Right now we are looking forward to the eve. Young people want to fully experience the encounter with the Lord of full life by meeting Him in the sacrament of confession.
Tomorrow we will go to Fatima where it will surely be a strong experience of meeting with Mary”.
